to Yellow Dog Ranch, located just outside of the small community of
Edge, Texas. When we purchased our ranch in September of 2001, it was
quite overgrown with youpon brush and in bad need of care. But we realized
it had lots of potential and have been busy almost every weekend since
making improvements. |
In the spring of 2002, we hired a contractor to do some selective clearing, and had them build a second pond as well. The money was well spent, and we feel we have made significant improvement toward wildlife management in our area. |
Our intentions are to create a wildlife haven for deer and fowl, and other critters, as well as provide supreme conditions for raising and training our Labs. In addition to our native and hatched Mallard ducks, we provide habitat for owls, hawks, herons, doves, and many other species of birds. Deer are routine and we provide them food year round. The dogs have learned to control themselves by sitting and watching when they see the deer are feeding. |
We started taking these photo's in the winter of 2001. We are making improvements as fast as we can afford and will post new photo's often. |
